Somerset Patriots Kid CEO Announced


XAVIER PEREZ
  • Xavier is 15 years old and resides in Bound Brook, NJ. He wants to be a Sports Announcer when he grows up. His favorite Somerset Patriot in Manager Sparky Lyle.
  • Xavier will follow front office staff members during the games to learn about ticketing, promotions, media, marketing, and ballpark operations.

Xavier's schedule for the 2008 season will be as follows:


  • Friday, May 9th- Learning the operation of the Ticket Office
  • Saturday, June 21st- Learning Ballpark Operations/ Concessions
  • Friday, July 18th- Learning Media Relations/ On-Air with  Brian Bender
  • Monday, August 11th- Learning Promotions, Meeting the team, and throwing out a first pitch
  • Wednesday, September 3rd- Choice of the Kid CEO

The Somerset Patriots and Cosmopolitan Staffing Services were looking for a child between the ages of six to 15 to work alongside the Patriots front office staff for five games during the 2008 All-Star Season.

Interested individuals applied to be the Patriots Kid CEO at Fan Fest on April 5th and interviewed with Cosmopolitan Staffing Services staff at the event.

All the applications were reviewed during the month of April with five finalists selected from the job seekers.

The five finalists received tickets to attend the Saturday, April 26th Patriots game, where the children were interviewed on the field and Xavier was selected by Cosmopolitan Staffing Services and Patriots representatives as the Kid CEO.

Xavier will also sit in on Patriots staff meetings, write about the experience for media opportunities, and take a tour of the Cosmopolitan Staffing Services office with the organization’s CEO.

“Cosmopolitan Staffing Services is proud to sponsor the Kid CEO Program with the Somerset Patriots. We believe that children are our future and are happy that this program will be in place to help a child see how a Professional Baseball Club is run behind the scenes,” said Pat Sahul, Director of Sales for Cosmopolitan Staffing Services.

The Kid CEO Will Also Receive:

  • Tickets to five CEO games
  • Ceremonial First Pitch at a game
  • Special Meet and Greet with Sparky Lyle and the Patriots players

DANIEL PETERSON
Daniel is 13 years old and resides in Middlesex, New Jersey. He is a Somerset County 4-H Club Go Cart rider who wants to be a NASCAR drive when he grows up. His favorite Somerset Patriot is Jeff Nettles.

KATE MUSSO
Kate is ten years old and resides in Fanwood, New Jersey. She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up. Her favorite thing to do at the ballpark is cheer on the Somerset Patriots.

MICHAEL BIZZOCO
Michael is six years old and resides in Hillsborough, New Jersey. His favorite thing to do at the ballpark is catch foul balls. He wants to be a Somerset Patriots player when he grows up.


AMANDA TONNE
Amanda is 13 years old and resides in Old Bridge, New Jersey. She wants to be the first woman baseball player when she grows up. Her favorite Somerset Patriot is outfielder Elliott Ayala. Her favorite Major League team is the Washington Nationals.
