Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots are looking for host families around the Bridgewater area to join their Host Family Program for the upcoming 2019 season.
The Somerset Patriots Host Family program allows a family, couple, or individual within the surrounding communities of TD Bank Ballpark to host a Somerset Patriots player during the 2019 season. The goal is to not only help provide the player with a comfortable home away from home, but also to bring the organization and the surrounding community closer together.
Preferably, host families would need to be in the surrounding area of a 20-25 minute drive to TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater. The needed requirements are that all hosts must be able to provide the player(s) with their own bed, a bedroom/living area, access to a bathroom, access to a kitchen, and the flexibility and understanding of a professional baseball player’s hectic schedule.
The Atlantic League baseball season consists of 140-150 games (depending on the playoffs) that span over the course of six months. Players will look to arrive early to mid-April for the start of Spring Training and could be in town through September.
There are many benefits that come along with joining the Somerset Patriots Host Family Program, such as tickets to home/road games, invitations to special events, complimentary free parking at TD Bank Ballpark, a goody bag with licensed team merchandise, memories that will last a lifetime and more.
All inquiries about getting more information or joining the Somerset Patriots Host Family Program for the upcoming 2019 season must be sent to the email of Jon Hunton, Host Family Program Coordinator and Director of Baseball Operations at email@example.com.
The Somerset Patriots will be back in action on Friday, April 26th for Opening Day at TD Bank Ballpark. Stay up to date on all the team news throughout the offseason online; on all of our social media platforms, and on our mobile app. For more information, visit www.somersetpatriots.com.
