Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have teamed up with Right2Breathe® by hosting Home Runs for Healthy Lungs to raise awareness of lung disease. The event will take place at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday, September 7 before a home game against the York Revolution. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., with gates opening at 6:00 p.m.
Pre-game activities will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will include the Right2Breathe® National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) drag racing car, car show, and parade. Additionally, the first 1,500 kids in attendance will receive back-to-school folders, courtesy of SCEA.
Right2Breathe® Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization based in New Jersey, created by two passionate Drag Racers who have a personal mission to improve the quality of life for those that live with respiratory difficulty, illness, or disease. They are dedicated to educating the automotive and motorsports community about pulmonary and or respiratory medical conditions through a cause marketing campaign.
“As a New Jersey-based non-profit organization, our primary objective is to ensure everyone living in our home state has the right to breathe. Partnering with our hometown ballclub to debut our new program simply makes sense,” stated Right2Breathe® CEO and co-founder Joe Morrison. “…The Home Runs for Healthy Lungs health initiative builds off the success we’ve had in the automotive space and will permit us to ensure everybody attending the baseball game (especially children and their parents) have the right access to education and resources for living with any respiratory disease.”
